- Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment, and information.
- Assist in breaking projects into doable actions and set timeframes.
- Liaise with clients to identify and define requirements, scope, and objectives.
- Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management.
- Make sure that clients’ needs are met as projects evolve.
- Help prepare budgets.
- Analyze risks and opportunities.
- Oversee project procurement management.
- Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise.
- Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants.
- Work with the Project Manager to eliminate blockers.
- Use tools to monitor working hours, plans and expenditures.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports.
- Create project documentation and abide by documentation standards.
- Associates/Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and/or equivalent work experience in the Project Management/Information Technology field
- Minimum of two (2) to seven (7) years of Project Coordinator experience desired.
- Posses or be working towards a Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) desired.
- Creative, innovative responsibilities requiring advanced decision-making skills.
- Proficient English grammar skills. Ability to outline, write, and edit technical papers.
- Proficient knowledge of information systems (hardware/software)
- Proficiency with desktop software such Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word.
- Proficient written and oral communications skills and problem-solving/decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with Department of Defense military standards, rules, and regulations as they pertain to project management, documentation deliverables, government contracts, and project execution.
- Posses an understanding of Agile Scrum/Kanban project management.
- Familiarity with risk management, cybersecurity, and risk management framework.
- Familiarity with Configuration Management
- Ability to present data (Presentations) to the customer on specific projects as required.
- Must possess a task based/schedule driven mindset.
- Ability to meet schedule timelines.
- Ability to work independently and multi-task.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active or recently inactive clearance
- Knowledge of Project Coordination, Collaboration, and Management techniques
- Advanced Excel skills, including a thorough understanding of formulas, are desired.
- Knowledge and ability to create and manage a schedule in MS Project.
- Strong computer software skills and the ability to adapt to new software/enterprise tools easily.
- Adept at using specific tools, software to perform the job.
