Philip Loeffel - President/ CEO

Mr. Philip Loeffel, President, has over fifteen years of experience leading high-growth, technology companies. Under Mr. Loeffel's leadership, Riptide Software has grown from a small software start-up into a leading provider of sophisticated software solutions approaching $20 million in annual revenue. In 2009 the majority shareholder, Mr. Loeffel and other owners agreed to restructure Riptide into a ESOP allowing every employee to continue to share in Riptide's success. During Philip's early tenure Riptide was recognized as one of the 500 fastest growing companies in North America by Deloitte & Touche for three consecutive years and continues to win awards every year including a recent selection as the Lockheed Martin small business of the year.
Philip's unique understanding of the technology sector is based on years of technical project leadership responsibilities at the enterprise level in addition to hands-on technical activities. He leverages this combination of leadership, management, and fiscal responsibility to execute key decisions with a deeper understanding of both technical and business issues. Philip remains a hands-on leader and has created a company culture where ensuring the complete satisfaction of every Riptide client is the highest priority for every employee. His perspective helps guarantee delivery and a profitable return on investment for Riptide's customers and investors.
Prior to founding Riptide Software, Philip held key information technology positions with Software Technology Inc., a leading provider of command and control systems for communication and global positioning satellites and subsequently with Harris Corporation in the Government Aerospace Systems Division.
Mr. Loeffel attended the Florida Institute of Technology (Florida Tech) where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in computer engineering then graduated with honors with a Master's Degree in computer science and software engineering.
Barry Clinger - Executive VP/ CTO

Barry Clinger recognizes that teamwork supported by a well-trained staff is the basis for an organization's success. As the CIO and VP of Engineering for Riptide Software, Inc., Barry brings over 13 years of experience in software development to the Riptide team.
He is an experienced software solutions expert and has designed and implemented object-oriented and distributed software systems in Java and J2EE, C++, LISP. He has experience with OOD methodologies and tools, Java, C++, J2EE, CORBA IDL, knowledge of engineering techniques, and inference engines. He has spent significant time as a technical lead in the development of large-scale, widely distributed systems involving tight-knit teamwork and coordination and is a SUN Certified Java Programmer.
He has served as lead architect in product development for commercially available products, and currently has three publications in advanced software development. Barry has also been involved as a key author in several proposals to NASA, the Department of Defense and private industry.
Prior to joining Riptide in 1999, Barry was the Senior Computer Scientist for Federal Data Corporation at Kennedy Space Center. He also worked for Copper Key Technologies in Cocoa, Software Technologies in Melbourne and McDonnell Douglas Space Systems at Kennedy Space Center.
Barry holds a bachelor's of science degree in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics from Eckerd College. Along with his outstanding academic achievements, Barry excelled in athletics as a leading player for the Eckerd College basketball team. He has earned a Masters of Science in Business Administration from Kennedy-Western University/Florida Tech.
An avid horse lover and trainer, Barry spends his spare time working his 10-acre ranch, building custom horse facilities and maintaining the grazing and training areas. His love of the outdoors and wildlife has led him to be heavily involved in the Save the Manatee Foundation in Brevard County and he enjoys windsurfing and other water sports.
At heart, Barry is an entrepreneur. He takes pride in his work and has a strong will to succeed. This trait is one that has served Riptide Software well and allows him to push his team to find creative solutions that might otherwise be overlooked.
