Description
This classification is for individuals engaged in research and/or product development that have training or experience in more than one engineering discipline.
Performs research, design, and development in such areas as mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, thermodynamic, or heat transfer for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy. Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electro mechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines. Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Function designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
Accomplishes tasks mainly through direct supervision of nonexempt and entry-level exempt employees. Monitors daily operations of a unit and actively assists, or provides direction to, subordinates as required.
Qualifications
- Candidate must be able to obtain U.S. Government Security Clearance (Secret).
- Candidate must have a valid driver's license.
- Candidate will be required to comply with all Company and OSHA safety standards and wear/use required PPE as applicable.
Experience Required
- 4 Years experience participating in design and development activities, including the direct supervision of nonexempt and entry-level exempt employees, and monitoring daily operations of a unit and actively assisting, and/or providing direction to, subordinates as required.
Education Required
B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics
