ETC-IS
The Exportable Training Capability information system (ETC-IS) is used to prepare Brigade Combat Teams (BCTs) for battle within the construct of a live-training simulation. Riptide Software was selected as the lead Information Assurance manager for ETC-IS. Riptide engineers created the necessary DIACAP artifacts and coordinated the work of General Dynamics, Raytheon, SAIC, and Harris, to insure all interconnected systems were prepared for CT&E. ETC-IS stationed at Fort Irwin California and was awarded an ATO in early 2010.
HITS
The Homestation Instrumentation Training System (HITS) provides customizable production capabilities for Battle Tracking, Exercise Command and Control and After Action Reviews (AAR). As the prime for the HITS Proof of Concept, Riptide Software lead the Information Assurance effort that resulting in ATOs for HITS Versions 1.0, and 2.0.
TRACR
TRACR provides a single common target control system for all Army targets and ranges identified in Training Circular 25-8 with a common look and feel and an integrated Graphical User Interface in accordance with the LT2 Style Guide and in compliance with the Common Training Instrumentation Architecture. Riptide Information Assurance engineers have configured over 95 DIACAP compliant Targetry Range Automated Control and Recording (TRACR) systems to Army customers using customized DIACAP compliant scripts which automate the STIG process. TRACR is a standalone system and maintains an ATO as a standalone system (SAS) type accreditation.
MCITS
Marine Corp Instrumentation Training System (MC-ITS) supports squad/platoon through a company team maneuver force and squad/platoon through battalion task force training maneuver exercises. Riptide Software delivered a DIACAP compliant MC-ITS to Unitech with minimal residual risk and was accepted by Unitech for testing by the Marine Core.
P25 LMR
The Harris P25 Land Mobile Radio (LMR) provides reliable and mission critical communications to a variety of customers. Riptide software was hired to provide Information Assurance support for the LMR Information Assurance upgrade at several key Army and Navy sites. Riptide engineers assisted in the hardening of the LMR system in addition to consulting during a certification test and evaluation performed by ISEC.
IBAX-IS
The Interim Battle Area Complex Instrumentation System (IBAX-IS) provides the newest situational awareness technologies, and enhanced after-action review (AAR) capabilities to provide soldiers and commanders with immediate feedback on their training objectives. Riptide software configured and delivered a DIACAP compliant TRACR system as part of the IBAX-IS and coordinated the work of Raytheon to insure IBAX-IS was prepared for CT&E. The IBAX-IS received an ATO for the IBAX-IS v1.0 effective 21 Sep 2010.
STS
The Soldier Tracking System (STS) provides tracking and safety support for training events. STS provides a participant’s location, alerts when participants enter forbidden areas or has not moved in a specified period of time and supports panic button and voice clip functionality. Riptide developed the IA baseline and prepared STS for CT&E in 2009. STS was awarded an ATO in 2009 as part of the HITS 2.0 baseline.
CIEDAS
The Counter Improvised Explosive Device After Action Review System (CIEDAS) was developed to train soldiers on counter IED tactics in a live training environment. Riptide software delivered DIACAP compliant servers, workstations, and network devices to DSCI. The CIEDAS system successfully passed an IA validation event conducted by ISEC in August 2010. CIEDAS will be added as a HITS variant into the HITS Version 3.0 accredited baseline.
