Description

As a Software Engineer you will participate in the development and maintenance of systems under the Live Training Transformation (LT2) product line utilizing Common Training Instrumentation Architecture (CTIA).

Areas of responsibility include:

  • Contributing to the engineering team
  • Working independently to provide software solutions
  • Implementing new systems, features and enhancements
  • Maintaining existing products and services
  • Working closely with Project Managers, the Quality Assurance Team and with Business Partners

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and development
  • Unit and system testing
  • Analysis and documentation
  • Deployment and production support

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Army Live training
  • Development of applications using CTIA
  • Object Oriented Analysis and Design including Use Case analysis and Object Modeling in UML
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage time across multiple projects
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Disciplined approach to maintaining and adhering to engineering standards and best practices
  • Willing to travel as needed
  • Active clearance or ability to get a clearance
  • Ability to work closely with project stakeholders and effectively elicit requirements
  • Ability to translate requirements into robust and cost-effective technical solutions
  • Ability to deliver on time according to requirements and business needs
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to complete tasks on time and within budget in a climate of frequent change
  • Ability to perform effectively with minimal management oversight

Experience Required

  • 3+ years of full-time/hands-on C# development experience with application programming
  • 3+ years of .Net Framework, OOA, OOD and CORBA programming
  • 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience
  • Knowledge of Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC), and Joint training Systems
  • Knowledge of JTA-A, CORBA IDL, XML, Communication Standards

Education Required

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
